Violinist Bright Johnston is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, where she studied with Aaron Berofsky, and is currently pursuing her master's degree at The Juilliard School under Laurie Smulker.
She made her orchestral debut at age 15 with the Montecito International Music Festival Orchestra and continues to perform in solo and chamber music concerts.
She has participated in prestigious summer programs, including the Bowdoin International Music Festival, Chautauqua School of Music, and the Aspen Music Festival. Her recent honors include the Gold Prize at the 2020 MASTA Competition and being a finalist in the University of Michigan's 2023 Concerto Competition.
